POWER ENGINEERING together with Eliott Engineering have been contracted by ETI Engineering to build a 500kW Generator and Gearless wind Turbine system.
ETI Engineering will develop and own the IP for the proposed Generator which may also be suitable for power generation of other renewable energy markets like "Wave and Tidal energy"
This is an exciting time with the development of possibly "Australia's first commercial gearless wind turbine" which will lead to larger units upon full testing and certification.
The first turbine shall be owned and run by one of the Eliott Group of companies who will operate the turbine and sell power back into the grid while continual monitoring, trialling and testing takes place. This testing will be on going for the life of the turbine. The end result should be a turbine that is simplistic. efficient and most importantly reliable, giving the maximum bang for it's buck when offered to the marketplace.
