Pedestrian Bridge Tower - Ringwood
This 93 ton main pedestrian bridge support tower was fabricated, blasted and painted at our Kilsyth premises with all machined items for the bearing supports machined by Mechanical Engineering Corp (MEC) at our Yallourn site. The tower forms the main support structure for a pedestrian/cycle path that crosses over Maroondah Hwy in the eastern Melbourne suburb of Ringwood. This forms part of the Eastlink cycle/walking path project that runs along the newly completed Eastlink Freeway.
The project was commissioned by construction company Fulton-Hogan.
Bifurcate - Bogong Hydro Power
What is a bifurcate you say. Its a Y shaped pipe section used to split water. We are manufacturing this bifurcate for Stage 4 of the Bogong Hydro Power Station located at Bogong which lies between Mt Beauty and Falls Creek. In this case the bifucate is being used to split the feed water to service 2 new turbines being installed up at Bogong which will provide a further 140MW of power to the Victorian power grid.
Eliott Engineering has Developed, Oxy cut, Rolled/Pressed and Fabricated the Bifurcate in house at our Kilsyth Plant.
The Bifurcate is made up of 10 sections, 9 of those sections consisting of 2 halves. Each of the sections have a plate thickness of 50mm and the shell stiffeners are from 80 & 45mm plate.
Bureau of Meterology Tower Melbourne - Laverton
Completed February 2007 this project involved the fabrication, blasting and painting of the tower, conical sections and all internal structures. As part of this project Eliott Engineering also provided its own transport and undertook the erection of the tower in Laverton - Melbourne. Active Erections part of the Eliott Group completed that part of the task safely and efficiently. The last instalment of this project is the manufacture of the third and final tower for Terry Hills in Sydney. Erection of this tower is planned for the second half of this year.
Basker Buoy
The manufacture of this Buoy was completed in Oct 06 in our Kilsyth plant. It involved rolling, cutting, fabrication, load testing and painting to Upstream Petroleums standards.
Joffe Street Bridge
A project to supply, process, fabricate, abrasivse blast, paint and deliver the Joffe Street foot bridge for Thiess John Holland. Total works were undertaken in house at our Kilsyth plant.
Oxygen Bottle Cradle
We were commisioned to manufacture and assemble 10 of Oxygen Cylinder Cradles for our customer as seen in this photo. The Cradles are used for the underground mining sector so quality was of utmost importance for our client. All the items were manufactured, blasted, painted and assembled in our Kilsyth workshops.
Bureau of Meterology Tower Brisbane
Completed November 2005 this project involved the fabrication, blasting and painting of the tower and all internal structures. Part of the scope was the transport of the tower to Mt Stapylton which was undertaken by our own transport division. Further towers are being constructed for Melbourne and Sydney.
Flash Tanks - Pinjara Alumina Upgrade Project
A current project being undertaken for the Pinjara Alumina Upgrade Project consisting of 6 flash tank pressure vessels. These vessels are made from boiler plate ranging between 32-40 mm thick. Dimensions of the tanks are approx. 3.7 m dia x 9.9 m long and weighing around 36 T.
Eliott New Trailer
An interesting project for Eliott Engineering was the total manufacture assembly and commisioning of our new side winding drop deck trailer. This will be a valuable addition to our transport side of the business giving greater opportunity to fulfill our clients requirements.
Vibratory Feeder for Italy
Here we have completed and tested a Vibratory Feeder for our Client. This project was manufactured, painted and assembled at our Kilsyth plant. The assembly was undertaken by our client with our help.
Generator Set Frames
This project involved the manufacture, painting and assembly of 30 such units destined for the railway transport system. The frames were fully manufactured at our facilities in Kilsyth to AS1554.1 standard. Part of the assembly required the installation of insulation panels which were brought in precut to shape and adhesive backed for ease of installation.
Radial Telescopic Stacker
This project was the second of it's kind to be maufactured by Eliott Engineering to it's customer who has the Australian Licence. The Stacker stands at 42 m in length with a telescopic arm extending the reach to approximately 75 m. What makes this a versatile machine is the fact that it is fully programable and the assembly is transportable, as can be seen here in the photo with Eliott's T600 Kenworth. The total fabrication, assembly and painting was undertaken in our Kilsyth facility. (These have become so sucessfull that there is now a steady flow of ongoing forward orders).
Village Cinema - Knox City
This recently completed job was for a sign face, installed at the Knox City Village cinema complex. The sign made from 3 mm Aluminium, measures 6 meters x 12 meters and has in excess of a 1/4 million holes to create the graphic that can be seen. The programming and punching was all undertaken inhouse utilising our Amada turret punch.
Roof/Floor Truss Equipment
We are currently completing the fabrication, painting and assembly of a number of specialised machines for our client which are destined for the housing industry. The blasting and protective coatings are all undertaken inhouse using our modern facilities by our specialist painters.

Shepparton Art Gallery
This project involved the manufacture of a number of signs for the Art Gallery. All the graphics as seen in the picture were all programmed and cut inhouse using our High Definition plasma. The protective coatings required were applied by our Painting & Blastive division.

This project included the manufacture of water cooled hoods and the associated pipework to go with the hood.

These stack assemblies were fabricated for a gas fired generators.
Segment Loaders
This project involved the manufacture of 2 (110T) cranes for the elevation of pre formed bridge sections for the Elevated Roads (City Link)project Melbourne.
